What to Expect at Your First Invisalign Appointment
When you first come in for your Invisalign appointment, Dr. Beaulieu will examine your bite to make sure you’re a good candidate for Invisalign. Then she'll take a 3D scan of your teeth. The scan will make the major changes on a computer model and give you the chance to see a preview of your new smile. In a few weeks, you’ll come back to get your new aligners and instructions on how to wear them.
The Treatment Process
During your treatment, you’ll wear each set of aligners for 22 hours per day for one week at a time. We’ll schedule you for check-ins every three months or so and Dr. Beaulieu will check your progress to make sure things are running smoothly. Then she’ll give you your next several sets of Invisalign aligners.

HOW CAN I TAKE CARE OF MY ALIGNERS?
With Invisalign, you need to maintain proper oral hygiene to ensure your trays last and to prevent tooth decay. It’s equally important to keep your Invisalign trays clean, clear, and odor-free. During your treatment, you should brush twice a day for two minutes and floss at least once a day. To maximize your results, you should wear your aligners for 20-22 hours per day. When you do take your aligners out, brush them gently to make sure that saliva and bacteria are thoroughly removed to prevent tooth decay and odors.
CAN YOU SEE THE INVISALIGN ALIGNERS WHEN YOU’RE WEARING THEM?
Invisalign aligners are clear and designed to be nearly undetectable. But because they’re made of plastic, they will always be noticeable once you get close to someone. In some instances, your Invisalign trays might be more noticable. Standing in direct light might cause a reflection that will make them more obvious than they’d be otherwise.

The final cost of Invisalign treatment depends on how long your treatment takes and the severity of your case.
